The ProtoTera Association aims to promote and develop a national research and teaching network in advanced therapies and associated technologies, enhancing research infrastructures,training and healthcare associated with the treatment of patients with cancer using new technologies, namely in:

A) Effects of high energy radiation on biological and material systems
B) High energy particle beam therapies (eg protons)
C) Theranostic for the increment of a precision and customized medicine
D) Accelerators, beam lines, planning systems, imaging
E) Advanced Medical Imaging

2nd Edition of the ProtoTera PhD Students Workshop

The 2nd ProtoTera PhD Students Workshop will take place from 09 to 10 October 2024, at the Auditorium of Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear - CTN/IST, in Lisbon. This workshop is in-person and intended to get together students and their supervisors, providing an opportunity to present and exchange ideas about their research work.

PhD students will be required to give a short presentation (15mn + 5 mn). The workshop will start at 09:30 on 09th October with an opening session.

1st Edition of the ProtoTera PhD Students Workshop

The 1st Edition of the ProtoTera PhD Students Workshop will take place from Monday 28th to Tuesday 29th November 2022, at Pólo das Ciências da Saúde, Universidade de Coimbra (Anfiteatro do iCBR). This workshop is intended to get together students and their supervisors, providing an opportunity to present and exchange ideas about their research work.
